Thamesford Lions Club presents: Retro Rides & Community Vibes
Date: June 15th, 2024
Location: South Lions Park, 224 Seldon St, Thamesford, ON N0M 2M0
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Set-up Time: 11:00 a.m. - 11:45 a.m.
Organizers: Thamesford Lions Club
Purpose: Fundraiser for the Zorra Multi Use Courts Committee
We are thrilled to announce that yourself and over 25 community partners will be joining us for the “Retro Rides and Community Vibes” event! We are incredibly lucky to have such wonderful support from our community. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the partners for coming and making this day even more special. Your participation and enthusiasm are greatly appreciated, and we can't wait to see the positive impact you'll bring to the event!

$10.00 Registration Fee per Vehicle

Registration Opens at 11:00 a.m.

Commemorative Plaque for the First 100 Vehicles

Hotdog (all beef) - $4.00

Hotdog Combo* - $8.00

Hamburger - $6.00

Veggies in a Cup (with hummus) - $2.00

Pop or Juice Bottle - $2.00

*Combos include chips or veg cup and a drink.

The bake sale will have all kinds of delicious cupcakes and cookies for sale!
Timeline:

10:00 a.m. Lion volunteers arrive and start setting up

11:00 a.m. Car registration opens

11:00-11:45 a.m. Community partners can set up tents
-
12:00 p.m. Music, BBQ, kids activities and community partners open
-
12:45 p.m. Children's races begin
-
1:45 p.m. Children's song and dance
-
2:00 p.m. The RJ Conspiracy band begins
-
2:45 p.m. 50/50 draw and people's choice awards
-
3:30 p.m. Kids activities clean up
-
3:45-4:00 p.m. Finish up/clean up
Tips for Your Booth:

Tent

Chairs for yourself

Signs, posters, pop-up banners (anything with your logo)

Swag on the table of any kind, or sweets

Pamphlets or business cards

A sign-up sheet for volunteer/contact info

Water bottle for yourself

Pack a lunch or plan to snack at our BBQ!
Additional Information for Participants:

Upon arrival at the park, please check in with Lion Brian Voigt. He will be at the information tent/first aid tent.

Lions members and volunteers, including grade 8 students and members of the ZMCC, will assist you to your designated spot.
-
We highly encourage you to bring a tent, table, and chairs for your comfort.
-
Feel free to bring signs, information pamphlets, business cards, swag, and any other materials to help promote your business.

Please help us spread the word by sharing posters to encourage others to attend.

Extra parking is available on surrounding streets or just around the corner at the Thamesford Rec Centre.

Rain location: Thamesford District Recreation Centre. Please note: The hall is booked for a Celebration of Life. We will be on the ice floor and entering from the Zamboni doors on the south end of the building.

If we move to the Thamesford District Recreational Centre, no tents are required, though tables still might be helpful.
